Recognizing
the value of and need for professional counseling
in the lives of their congregants, several area
pastors formed the Center for Psychological and
Family Services (CPFS) in 1993. A separate fund,
known as the Foundation or Benevolence Fund, was
also created at that time to aid in the mission
of CPFS. Partner churches pay a percentage of
their overall yearly budget into the fund. The
fund helps make reduced-fee therapy available
to individual patients, couples and families who
have financial need.
The
subsidy benefit is limited per family in order
to make the fund available to many each year.
A subsidy grant will not cover the entire cost
of your therapy but can aid in paying the cost
of therapy. Your therapist will work with you
to determine the amount of subsidy grant to apply
to each session. Speak with your therapist about
applying for assistance from this fund.
